The Tustin Dance Center staged The Nutcracker for Orange County Rescue Mission in Tustin, giving kids and adults their first live ballet. The mission offers food, shelter, and counseling services with volunteer opportunities via rescuemission.org.
Bank of America announced 145000 in grant funding to 12 local nonprofits addressing hunger and shelter. Last month nonprofits were notified and will receive grants by year end. four Santa Ana and Tustin groups share 35000 for projects at The Center OC, Mercy House Joseph House, Orangewood Foundation centers, and Orange County Rescue Mission.
The Tustin Community Foundation collected Pajamas at multiple sites for over 300 local children this winter. Donations support OC Rescue Mission Laurel House and Tustin Youth Center with deliveries to brain injured children via Tustin Hospital. Funds from a Tree Lighting booth supported the City of Tustin Holiday Basket program for low income families.
