Disney employee brings holiday joy to CHOC patients
Karlos Siqueiros, a Disneyland food and beverage development manager, dons Santa hat and Mickey ears to host CHOC Family Holiday Party on December 3. The event on CHOC’s second floor featured a 9Foot gingerbread castle, therapy dogs, costumed characters, games, a 38Foot Yule log and decorations for about 400 children and families. Siqueiros, a 54 year old from El Paso, started as a Disneyland waiter and has spent 30 years rising to his current post while volunteering with Disney VoluntEARS. He recalls the 2001 Nightmare Before Christmas themed idea that led to a gingerbread Haunted Mansion for CHOC and a successful decorating party with 14 VoluntEARS, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, balloons, and hundreds of cookies.
