County approves study to transform hangar into world museum
County Board of Supervisors greenlit a 110000 contract with LORD Cultural Services to study converting an 18 story hangar at the shuttered Tustin Marine base into the worlds largest military museum. The plan envisions an 84.5 acre county regional park site with a military history museum and cultural center. Supervisor Todd Spitzer urged the approval saying delaying the project denies veterans the tribute. The study should be completed by September 11 with a 25 percent funding increase to 132,182.50. Supervisor Tom Wilson was absent.
