Four TG&E officials to appear before jury in probe of Navajos

Tucson Gas & Electric Co. officials including chairman J. Luther Davis are subpoenaed to testify next Wednesday before a federal grand jury in Phoenix. The probe centers on financial ties with the Navajo Nation over a 78 mile transmission corridor and related charter flights.

Independents file nominating petitions before deadline

A slate of independents rushed to file for November ballots including candidates for U S Senate House of Representatives and State Legislature.
