Neighbors Surprise Gundersons With Mountain Picnic
Neighbors of Mr and Mrs Gunderson who run a Hite store at Palo Verde Ave and Presidio Rd organized a surprise picnic in the mountains while the couple was away. Teenagers aided by adults painted Ed's Grocery, a decade-long Gundersons venture, and built a hitching post for Fenster Ranch students who ride to the store at 3113 N Palo Verde Ave. The events were funded by local residents.

Phelps Dodge Cuts Output in Copper Reduction

Piano Kills Mao in Columbus Truck Mishap
Walter R. Bay, 54, was crushed to death yesterday when a piano he was moving rolled off a truck and toppled onto him in Columbus Wisconsin. Police said the accident occurred shortly after Bay began unloading the instrument. The investigation continues pending further details.
