Four fliers from Randolph air force base died in a midair collision. Their two training planes crashed on the J. H. Harper farm seven miles southeast of Savers, near the Atkins Elmendorf road. Identifications were not immediately available.
Mrs. Carleton Hadley will marry Vice-President Alben Barkley on November 18 in St. Louis. The 38 year old widow will become second lady as Barkley’s bride. ceremony planned in St. Louis with residence likely in Paducah, Kentucky.
The White House said President Truman is unlikely to attend the wedding of Vice President Barkley and Mrs. Carleton S. Hadley in St. Louis. Truman will be in Washington on November 18 for a state dinner hosted by the shah of Iran.
Seoul reports President Syngman Rhee on the U S S St Paul at Inchon harbor telling American naval officers that force could be necessary to settle the North South split. He likened divided Korea to a body cut in half and credited U S aid for keeping the country free from communism.

Deputies immigration officers and liquor officials found liquor served without license at a buffet where prostitutes were reported. Seven Mexican nationals were seized and held on illegal entry charges. Joe Rodríguez, owner of the buffet tavern and hotel above it, faced arrest warrant.
