Surprise Snow Traps Hunters In Idaho Wilds
A heavy early snowstorm in the northern Rocky Mountains traps hundreds of hunters and others in Idaho and surrounding states. Snow depths exceed a foot in many areas with 16 inches at Utah ski resorts and flights halted as reports describe frostbite cases and numerous accidents. An airplane with four aboard is missing near the storm zone as searchers work in canyons and forests.
