Reduced Marshall Plan Fund Approved By Voters
George Gallup reports a national survey shows about 63 percent can correctly define the Marshall plan. Voters favor spending roughly 3 billion dollars for next year, with about one fifth deeming it too high and 4 percent thinking it is too little. A split exists between charity and rehabilitation views, with rehabilitation supporters approving the 3 billion fund by nearly two to one.

Visitors barred from yacht Volador in Hong Kong dock
In Hong Kong on May 25 police barred visitors aboard the yacht Volador and tug Alicia Moller arriving from Communist China. The Volador owned by Gordon Ross of Yakima Washington and Santa Monica California had been detained at Ft Bayard China. Ross sought to reclaim his 20000 craft and hoped to sail to the United States to sell it and buy a Central American motel. Five former crewmen said a Hong Kong justice detained the yacht in port until a $10594 back pay dispute is resolved.
