Four Tucson Teachers End Careers in Tucson Public Schools
Four Tucson teachers retire at term end totaling 80 years of service. Lead retiree Miss Ulah Hudson, University Heights principal, taught 34 years in the district and will be honored May 26 at a reception. Also leaving are Mrs Lena Doyle 31 years Mansfeld junior high, Mrs Minnie DeHart 12 years Rose school, and Mrs Harriet Murphy with county and Tucson service.

Boastful Youth Jailed As Drunken Driver
A 17 year old Phoenix youth, Bobby John Roberts, was sentenced to pay 200 dollars or serve 100 days in jail after pleading guilty to drunk and reckless driving. Prosecuted as an adult after a juvenile court hearing, he boasted that the judge could not do anything to him. Police said he led them on a 70 mile per hour chase after drinking, refusing to name his liquor source.

Juveniles Suspected in Wakefield Junior High Break-In
Juvenile vandals were suspected of breaking into Wakefield junior high on West 44th Street. A broken window was found by a janitor early this morning. The sheriff's department said school authorities would assess damage and theft. Marcelo Garcia, the janitor, led officers through ransacked rooms with materials strewn about.
