Noted Musician Dr John Thompson Dies At 74
Dr John Thompson composer of the Arizona Suite for piano died at 74 in St Marys Hospital after a long illness. A prolific author of piano instruction books his suite premiered with the Tucson Symphony in 1960. He led the Kansas City Conservatory of Music 25 years and lived in Casas Adobes Tucson.

RCA Raises its Dividend
Radio Corp. of America directors boosted the regular quarterly dividend on common stock to 35 cents a share from 25 cents. The higher payment will be made April 28 to shareholders of record March 18. The firm also reported record sales and earnings for 1962. Dr Thompson launched a lecturing career for his books, addressing teachers nationwide. He is survived by his wife Dora M Thompson, two sons John J of St. Petersburg and Leslie C of Kansas City, seven grandchildren, and one sister Mrs Walter Betts of Kansas City. Arizona Mortuary handles arrangements. Rev Robert Lenhard, formerly of Tucson and now of Cyreka, Calif., will officiate.
