Involved Driver Rojas Hurt After Car Plunges From Overpass

Ignacio G. Rojas, 46, of 238 E Fairgrounds Drive, is in satisfactory condition at Arizona Medical Center after his vehicle went out of control on the 22nd Street overpass east of Cherry Avenue. The car hit a curb, tore 40 feet of guard rail, and plunged 20 feet to Warren Avenue near the railroad, flipping twice and landing upright. Police say internal injuries are possible and no charges were filed.
