Two boys, Larry A. Densel and Jack Davis, were killed in a broadside crash at E 22nd St and S Swan Rd in Tucson. Injuries included a fractured elbow and facial scalp lacerations to two others as police described the wreck, which occurred about 12 10 a m. The 1957 death toll in Pima County rose to 29 with this accident.
Secretary of State John Foster Dulles denounces Communist China as uncivilized and hostile and rejects calls to alter U S policies of non recognition trade embargo and cultural isolation. He argues the United States must stand firm while hoping the Chinese people will eventually end red despotism.
