Liability For Actors Solved by Arizona Supreme Court

The Arizona supreme court upheld the state industrial commission's limit on workmen's compensation insurance for high paid movie stars. The ruling blocks unlimited policies for Gene Autry Productions on location, ending a stalemate that deterred film work in Arizona and saving the state potentially hundreds of thousands in lost business. The decision, written by Chief Justice Stanford, curbs reliance on local waivers and confirms a $3,000 monthly salary cap for compensation calculations.
