Town Loses Fire Truck Before It Is Delivered
The Cashion community started a drive to buy a fire truck after a home burned before help arrived from nearby towns. Organizer Ronald Bruce started the Firettes, an all-woman volunteer group, and Rep. Sam Steiger promised a surplus truck within 10 days. It turns out Cashion is not incorporated and not eligible for the surplus, so the campaign continues with a $12,000 goal for a new pumper.
