Skyline Drive extension OK'd by county supervisors
County supervisors approved a plan to extend Skyline Drive east to Craycroft and loop north before connecting to Sabino Canyon Road. Tanque Verde Road will be widened to four lanes from Sabino Canyon Road to Catalina Highway. Completion dates are not set. Sabino Canyon Road widening won’t finish for at least five years. Jim Murphy opposed, arguing the route is unnecessary and too costly.
