Western Writers Advised Can't Beat TV So Join It
At the Western Writers of America convention the emphasis was on embracing television as a training ground for new writers. Todhunter Ballard urged changing attitudes to survive as pulp markets decline, while Dr. John A. Carroll urged more accurate, non fiction research and Jack Huggins defended entertainment as the primary Western fiction goal. Tomorrow the group tours Nogales Tombstone and visits the O K Corral.
