Boy Burned as Tar Can Explodes at Home
An 11 year old boy, Richard D. Klosset, is in very critical condition at Pima County Hospital with second and third degree burns over about 60 percent of his body after a five gallon can of boiling tar exploded on a portable barbecue at the Klosset home 3811 S 6th Ave. His eight year old brother, Christian Robert Klosset Jr., received a second degree burn on an arm and was treated and released. Deputies said the accident occurred while the father was applying tar to the roof.
