Yoder Held For Trial In Slaying

John William Yoder, 30, is to stand trial in Superior Court on an open murder charge for the beating and strangulation death of Adriana Yoder, 23, at their home on May 19. Justice of the Peace Joe Jacobson ordered him held without bond in Pima County Jail after a closed preliminary hearing. Police found Adriana dead amid shattered bedroom mirror debris about 5:35 a.m. Yoder had been committed to the Wyoming State Hospital five years earlier for a knife murder and confined to the mental institution six months.
