De Gaulle’s Cease-Fire Offer Rejected by Algerian Rebels

Paris reports sources close to the rebel high command say they will reject President Charles de Gaulle’s latest cease-fire proposal. He announced committees for Europeans and Algerian Muslims to draft future Algeria plans and called for a universal suffrage vote after talks on self-determination.
