General Omar N. Bradley told the House Armed Services Committee that he would likely avoid recommending a military career today. He contrasted the committee’s 10.7 percent pay hike proposal with the administration’s 4.8 percent rise, saying the committee's increase might still be too low.
City of Tucson approves a comprehensive paving and sewer improvement in Serrano Villa Las Casitas and National City Annex areas. Plans include 80 to 920 foot sewer mains, seven manholes, two cleanouts, and four inch vitrifed clay house connections with grading and asphalt paving on Michigan Street and adjacent avenues. Bonds will fund costs via annual assessments, notices to publish, and plan numbers 1-64-44 and 4-44.
