Ticket Fixing Big Business In Chicago
Chicago sheriff Richard B. Ogilvie estimates ticket fixing in the traffic court is a millon dollar a year racket with losses to fines paid possibly in the millions. He says no Chicago policemen are involved and would not name investigations into judges or magistrates. Judge John S. Boyle ordered the traffic court records impounded as probes continue and warrants were issued for the arrest of George Bockstahler, deputy clerk, on bribe allegations.
