Harris appeal upheld in Baez's husband draft case

The Ninth U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed a three year jail sentence for David Harris, 23, husband of folk singer Joan Baez, convicted in May 1968 of failing to report for induction. Harris, a former Fresno youth of the year and Stanford student body president, remains free on appeal bond while pursuing further review.
