Pima Cancer Drive Nears Record

Charles D. Gregory Jr, Crusade chairman, says the American Cancer Society campaign in Pima County may reach an all time high. Tucson and Ajo contributions total $51,123 with a $57 goal. He notes cancer survival has improved from one in seven to one in three and urges yearly health checkups.

Tucson First Units Formed To Boost Local Buying

The Try Tucson First committee of the Tucson Chamber of Commerce named six subcommittee chairmen for the 1963-64 program. Joseph Brennan announced appointees James Cocke in business development Ruth Barrett in the women's division Jack Newman in speakers bureau George Nas in advertising Gordon Hamilton in broadcasting and Larry Bamberger in finance. Advisers listed include Adel Abbott Kenneth Dixon Peter Nitrini and Joseph Scott.
