Pima County budgets face cutback as supervisors weigh 12.5 million request
Pima County departments seek a record 12.5 million dollar budget for the coming year, a 1.5 million rise, potentially raising taxes by 12 cents to 1.65. Comptroller Richard Kittle warns figures are preliminary and subject to revision during a June 20 to July 11 budget review. The hospital, highway, and public works reserve requests loom largest, with raises for several officials and new positions planned as workload grows.
