State Poultry Group Formed at University of Arizona
W R Wells of the Tucson hatchery was elected chairman of the Arizona Poultry Improvement board at a reorganizing meeting after a four day poultry school at the University of Arizona. Walter Cochran and others named to the board include Haws Norton Embleton Pistor and Pickrell. The group aims to form a statewide Arizona Poultry association to benefit producers and dealers. Wells and Cochran named cochairmen of a temporary committee for a fall meeting. Seven tens delegates attended and twenty two passed flock selectors and pullorum tester exams.

Court Orders Sign Removed
Edward Becker of 1028 East Broadway was ordered in police court to remove a sign from a residence at 1325 East Speedway within 24 hours. City inspector Herreras testified before JP Gardner that the magistrate recently ruled the sign a building code violation and that removal of illumination had not altered the sign’s placement. Prisoner Dies In City Jail
Frank Warden a 32 year old transient from Anaheim California was found dead in the city jail at about 5 am. An autopsy ordered by coroner C W Gardner concluded death natural causes. He had been arrested around 5 pm Wednesday for intoxication and was to face a police court hearing today. He was last seen in his cell at 4 am seemingly well. Warden listed a brother Hugh Warden of Fullerton California as his nearest relative.
