Another bumper wheat crop due
Kansas City dispatch reports another bumper wheat crop across the Great Plains from Texas to Montana. Wheat expert Clifford Hope of Garden City Kansas says the 1961 crop will add to the surplus, with Kansas alone estimating over 250 million bushels. Hope notes markets abroad will grow as Canada and Australia sell to foreign buyers, and he urges finding new markets and modest production curtailment to ease the surplus.
