Fishing reports hint at banner season at San Carlos and beyond
San Carlos Lake hosts plenty of bass and bluegill horror amid rising catfish catches as families fish alongside Tucson anglers. Notable hauls include Charles Watts James Holmes with six bass and 30 bluegills, plus multiple parties with 18 to 60 bass and numerous catfish. Farther north in White Mountains and Show Low areas, trout limits of 11 to 12 inches appear at Show Low Lake, with Lyman Lake producing 14 to 11 inch trout. Guaymas sailfish prospects rise with a 42 pound dolphin reported and a large jewfish caught near Guaymas Yacht Club boats.
