Notable advancers included Union Pacific Pacific Western Oil Texas Pacific Land Trust Woolworth Douglas Aircraft Eastern Air Lines Union Carbide and American Telephone. Decliners included U S Steel Bethlehem Sears Roebuck Santa Fe Chesapeake & Ohio American Can Tractors Youngstown Sheet U S Gypsum International Harvester Anaconda Western Union and Goodrich.
Cattle and calves offered with varied prices across regions. Kansas City lists slaughter steers 17.00-18.50 and hogs 25-25.75, with bulls and canners lower. Chicago shows hogs up to 25.00 and cattle strong to 27.75 for top lots. Denver notes steady demand with calves 17.00-24.50 and stockers under 22.00.
