British Film Ties Guinness to Chaplin in White Suit
Richard Olson reviews The Man in the White Suit at Park theater noting Alec Guinness with Chaplinlike presence. The inventor hero, a janitor turned prodigy, creates a fiber that never dirties, triggering industry fear and capitalist ridicule. The film blends satire and slapstick with moments of genuine humor. Proceeds from opening night support the 261 art gallery.
