Price rise could lift copper output in Arizona mine
Phoenix June 2. A two cent increase in copper price could raise production by 1500 tons monthly at one Arizona mine, says Charles F. Willis secretary of the Arizona small mine operators association. He disputed Kennecott Copper Corp president E T Stannard that such a rise would not yield more than 1000 tons. A second idle mine could also hire 300 men and add output if prices rise.
