Deaths in Pima County Reach 58 in 1954
A. C. Butler, victim of a December highway crash near Continental, died at Pima County Hospital bringing the 1954 fatality tally to 58. Butler, about 59, lived at box 159 Route 1 Casa Grande, and county highway patrol noted the increase over the prior record. The crash occurred when a northbound car driven by Martin P. Turner of Chandler overturned. Turner received citations for lack of control and license absence.

Thomas Guilty of Lewd Acts in Superior Court
Thomas Alvin Clarence (Titanic) Thomas, 63, found guilty of lewd and lascivious acts and contributing to the delinquency of minors. Four Die In New Year’s Eve Kingman Crash on Route 66
Four people were killed and five injured in a New Year’s Eve crash 16 miles west of Kingman on U S highway 66. Victims named include Arsenio Garcia 19, Carl Burke 23, Lillian Burke 21, and Rachel Guerrin 18. The car struck the rear of a truck being towed by another vehicle around 10 50 p m.
