Bus Plunges Into River After Crash Near Prestonsburg
A school bus carrying about 38 children struck a wrecker and side swiped a car before plunging into the Levisa Fork. Rescue teams searched more than four hours for missing students and the driver, with officials fearing at least 20 children and the driver were trapped in 30 feet of water. Sixteen escaped via a rear door. six were hospitalized. A survivor described escaping through the emergency door.
