Harold E. Droz, 36, an auto salesman for Young Buick Inc., was killed when his small foreign car collided with a tow truck at West Street and North 9th. Plane crash lands south of Tucson injures two Californians
Two California businessmen escaped serious injury when their light Beech Bonanza crash landed off Twin Buttes road west of Sahuarita after the engine quit at 9 000 feet. Pilot Robert S. Strasburg 39 and passenger Fred F. Loegering 51, both of Palos Verdes Estates, were brought to St Marys Hospital in satisfactory condition with facial, head and limb injuries. The crash occurred about 2 45 pm as the four place aircraft skidded into a wash embankment after failing to land on the macadam road. An unidentified passerby aided the men then alerted authorities and drove them toward Tucson. an ambulance met them on No gales highway. The plane was grounded under guard.
