Arizona Senate moves to repeal helmet law for motorcyclists
PHOENIX AP The Arizona Senate gave preliminary approval to a bill repealing the state motorcycle helmet requirement. Sponsored by Sen. Bill McCune the measure passed 16 10 and goes to a final vote. McCune said the issue is freedom of choice with no clear safety evidence. Opponent Sen. Leo Corbet argued the right to self harm is not paramount. The bill would still require helmets for Boggles. Also advanced were criminal jurisdiction and probation expansion bills and a solar access measure.

High winds overturn 11 trucks in desert winds
