Board set to open North High bids in Tucson
The Pima county board of supervisors will open bids at 4 p.m. Monday for the 2.6 million North High School on Pima avenue between Dodge and Palo Verde, with a September opening and capacity for at least 1500 pupils. Also to be opened are bids for pharmaceutical supplies and a Liberty school contract.

Youth Admits Child Slaying in Detroit Suburb
DETROIT A distraught father found the slashed body of his 9 year old daughter Kathleen McLaughain near their Franklin Lakes home after a pond search. A 16 year old youth Floyd Diamond confessed to stabbing the child with a jack knife and crushing her skull in a fit of passion following roughhouse play. Diamond had been released from Wayne County training school recently. his stepmother described him as a problem child who finished school in the fourth grade. The father John J.
