Storm driven tides up to 83 mph battered the upper Texas coast around Baytown Seabrook and Kemah flooding 50 to 60 homes and prompting 200 rescues by amphibious vehicles and high wheeled trucks. Water rose two feet in Baytown with more expected as tides surged past Texas 146.

NAU approves tuition and fee increases for 1969 71
