A car driven by a 20 year old struck Domingo Alvarez 52 on the Freeway near South 12th avenue. Alvarez from 940 S 10th Ave was hit in the rear and dragged 49 feet. Police say two men 20 and 24 gave false information to officers.
The crash killed Domingo Alvarez on the Freeway after witnesses said he walked in traffic. Hutchins and Whinnery admitted Whinnery drove. both were drinking though breath tests were under legal limits. Alvarez died at Pima County Hospital. authorities will refer the case to the county attorney after review.
