An oil slick in the Tyrrhenian Sea off Santa Severa signaled a possible clue to the fate of a missing Belgian airliner with 29 aboard including eight crew and 21 passengers. An American-Italian search response, with Italian corvettes Cedro en route, scoured the area as volunteers and authorities mounted a night-long hunt across mountains north of Rome.
