Youth Missing After Hitchhiking With Friend

Los Angeles youth Timothy Stark, 20, reported missing after he and Donald Walker vanished yesterday afternoon while hitchhiking. A suitcase with Stark’s clothes was found near the Benson Highway overpass east of Spanish Trail Road. A driver who ferried them away told police Stark was put out near the overpass. two knives were found in the car and later claimed by Walker as belonging to Stark.

Father Of 8 Shot Five Times Then Burned Alive In Car

Insurance agent Stanley K. Caswell, 41, of North Plainfield New Jersey, was found dead in his burning car after a mud lane attack. He had been shot five times, including four in the head, and was alive when the fire started. Police initially considered robbery but found only $53 on him, a small amount for a motive.
