Arizona moves to tax four national banks Val ley National Bank First National Bank of Arizona Continental National Bank and First American National Bank with sales use leasehold and personal property taxes. The Tax Commission argues banks must file tax forms and may seek court or legislative action if not compliant. Revenue from use and sales tax is expected to exceed 3 million dollars.

House Delays Insurance and TV Bills in Arizona

A Phoenix House committee debated two bills on minimum auto insurance coverage and TV repair regulations but took no action. The insurance measure would raise personal liability and property damage minimums to 15 000 and 30 000 and strengthen financial responsibility rules. Two armed bandits robbed a Brotherhood National Bank drive-in facility as a messenger entered. They fled with a brown paper bag containing sandwiches for the drive-in tell and disappeared. Investigators labeled the case a bank hold up and sought tips.
