Three Tucson youths held in $1 750 safe burglary
Three high school students aged 15, 16, and 16 are in custody after allegedly stealing a $1,750 from the Central Drive-In safe. Fernando Gallardo, 18, of 840 S Fourth Ave, remanded on first degree burglary charges with bond set at 2,500. Detectives recover about 1,300 so far. two juveniles detained, another arrested after a string of related incidents.

State Liquor Chief Names Two To Staff
PHOENIX Sh Supt John A Duncan announced the appointment of L. G. Trujillo and Tom Mason to the enforcement staff of the state liquor department. Trujillo has 25 years with the Arizona highway department and fills a vacancy in the Minor department. Mason, a Phoenix restaurateur since 1910, joins the staff.

Sales Tax Collections Down Luxury Tax Up
Arizona tax commission reports lower sales tax receipts last month than January 1954 while luxury tax collections rose. Sales taxes brought in 2,409,806. January 1954 total was 92,254,310. Last month luxury taxes yielded 443,474 versus 405,120 in January 1954.

Bugs Found In Giant H-Bomber Delays Air Force Delivery
