D M A F B to Host Southwest Air Show This Weekend

Davis Monthan Air Force Base opens its gates to Tucson and visitors for a two day Strategic Air Command spectacle. Gates run 10 a m to 6 p m, with ROTC drill teams from universities nationwide and more than 1 200 cadets expected. Displays include Titan II Skybolt Thor Agena Minute Man missiles and a Mercury capsule bound for John Glenn orbital flight.

U S Seeks Halt To Titan Walkout In Tucson

A federal mediator visited Tucson to urge Titan missile base workers to resume tasks after a sympathy walkout. About 11 ironworkers joined 131 idle at Idaho Maryland Industries in protesting higher wages, with 75 workers blocking entry at Congress Street.
