Low Fat Diet From Birth Affects Infants Cholesterol
A three year study by Friedman and Goldberg on 52 children in the University of Arizona Scottsdale Project shows a low cholesterol and low saturated fat diet from birth reduces blood cholesterol levels but does not significantly change growth or body chemistry. Children were fed breast milk or Similac, then skim milk, with parents instructed in low fat, low cholesterol preparation.
