Leash Law Nears Adoption With One Change
City Council tentatively approves the leash law with a six foot leash allowance for training dogs and an off leash exception for dogs in approved obedience programs. The measure keeps a $300 fine or six months in jail as possible penalties and outlines enforcement and a county health department role under a joint agreement to be finalized next week.
