Dr. Louis J. Saxe, 40, former superintendent of the state hospital for the insane in Phoenix, died after a heart ailment. He headed the hospital in 1939 and 1940 and had retired in 1945 due to ill health. He is survived by his wife Florence and a daughter.

Soldier and Wife Found Dead From Gas Fumes
In Chandler an inquest was planned for Staff Sgt. Charles Moore and his wife after they were found dead in a Chandler auto court. Mrs. Schroeder, the court operator, reported a gas odor from the apartment with a burning heater and closed windows.
