Eight Believed Dead In Bomber Crash Near Florence
Eight men are believed killed when a four motor Army bomber crashed about 25 miles east of Florence yesterday afternoon. Undersheriff W. W. Traveling Salesmen Get Extra Gasoline
The Office of Price Administration issued a ruling granting traveling salesmen increased gasoline rations up to 8,600 miles a year at the request of Rubber Director William M. Jeffers. Eligible are salesmen selling essential commodities. OPA could not estimate how many of the 700,000 commercial travelers would qualify. The mileage cap allows up to 65 percent of last year's mileage or 8,600 miles, whichever is less.
