Doria diver held for fraud and embezzlement
Christopher Delucchi, 22, a Saturation Systems Inc. vice president who led a Navy salvage group aiming to recover valuables from the sunken Andrea Doria, was arrested by the FBI on fraud and embezzlement charges for allegedly using Navy requisitions to obtain 1300 dollars of industrial pipe equipment. The group tried saturation diving from a sunken chamber nicknamed Mother but found debris blocked access.
