Korean Spy Plot Quashed in Pyongyang
In Pyongyang twelve North Koreans were arrested for plotting to assassinate Col. C. R. Munske and local officials. Munske said eight were in Wang Gun’s police force and that the group planned shooting or grenades. He noted 6,000 underground N Koreans, a battalion of South Korean MPs, and UN forces in the area amid tension over Chinese advances. A ninth corps spokesman said a civilian was arrested near the allied air strip with a 120 millimeter mortar used to shell it.
