Spinelli to Appeal Conviction in Extortion Case
Salvatore Spinelli was convicted July 17 of extorting 7500 from Tucson resident Thomas J. Neavitt. He was fined 200 dollars and jailed 60 days in Pima County. Spinelli filed notice to appeal. trial date to be set by Superior Court Judge Alice Truman. Co defendant Harry Slefkin is sought on a bench warrant after failing to appear.
