Aerialist Injured After 20-Foot Fall at LA Ringling Show

Two Injured As Car Flips On Benson Highway
A Bowling Green man Roderick W. MacAlpine aged 68 and his daughter Alice 22 were injured when their car rolled over on Benson Highway about nine miles east of Tucson. Both were thrown from the vehicle and taken to St Marys Hospital in satisfactory condition with neck and back injuries reported. Highway Patrolman John Kalmes cited the crash occurred yesterday morning as they traveled eastbound.

City to Install Lights at Four East Side Intersections
City Manager Roger O Mara said the city will install traffic signals at Broadway and Kolb Road and at E Pima Street and Swan Road this month. The Broadway Kolb light will follow a joint city county plan with a similar light at E 22nd Street and Kolb Road. Two Robberies Net $400 In Roughly An Hour
Deputies report two holdups last night netted about $400. At Circle K Market on Campbell Avenue two suspects forced 41 year old Jean Hubbard into a back room and took more than $300 from the safe while a witness and another patron were ordered to the rear. They wore white sacks with eye holes and one carried a .32 caliber pistol, then ripped the phone from the wall before fleeing. About an hour earlier a stocking masked bandit robbed Pearce's Shell on Grant Road, taking $100 from attendant Robert Wright and fleeing on foot after warning him to hand over the money.
